Children’s Play-Based

Speech Language and Communication Therapy

Screenings, Evaluations, Individual Therapy and Classes!

Let me come to you! I travel to your child and provide therapy where they are: in their home, preschool, private school or a location that meets your desires and needs.

Why Play-Based? Play is how children explore, learn, and make sense of their world. When therapy happens through play, children feel comfortable and confident, allowing their abilities to emerge.

Therapy can help reduce frustration, support communication, increase desired behaviors, support friendship development, promote academic success and increase confidence.

I specifically can help with:

  • Social Communication: how we interact with others and communicate our wants and needs

  • Neurodivergent Development: the way children with autism, ADHD and other developmental differences learn (with or without diagnosis)

  • Speech: the way we use sounds to say words

  • Expressive language: what we say and write, getting our ideas out, includes vocabulary and grammar

  • Receptive language: understanding what we hear and read

  • Fluency: stuttering and cluttering

  • Voice: vocal quality, pitch, resonance, loudness

  • Pre-literacy and Literacy: phonemic awareness, decoding and other literacy skills which underlie academic learning and support success in every subject matter

  • Feeding: Eating, chewing and swallowing food with a variety of textures from all food groups

Curious if your child needs therapy?

Call or text me at 406-201-7060 or email me at laura@covaspeechtherapy.com with questions, to set up a free 15 minute phone consultation or to book an appointment.

Ask your child’s pediatrician if they recommend therapy and ask for a referral to Cova Speech Therapy for an evaluation.
